Meet Teresa Alessandro

She has owned investment property herself, so she knows the questions clients lose sleep over: Will it rent? Will the board approve? What will it be worth in five years?

Teresa has spent more than a decade helping New Yorkers buy, sell and rent across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and parts of Queens, like Long Island City and Astoria. She brings a local view, honest advice and a deep read on what makes each neighborhood tick. She answers those questions with data and plain talk.

Teresa chose Brown Harris Stevens for its history as the city's oldest brokerage, its private ownership and its personal service. In 2025 she founded the Making NYC Home Team, and she also leads the City to Suburbs Team at Making Westchester Home for clients weighing a move north into the county.

Before real estate, Teresa worked in advertising sales and brand marketing at NBC 4 New York. That training shows in every listing she manages: she writes the copy, directs the creation of content, and personally communicates the value and opportunity at every event or showing she hosts.

She holds a B.B.A. in International Business and Italian from Iona University, including a summer of study at John Cabot University in Rome, and speaks English and Italian. She lives in Manhattan and has walked (or Vespa'd) every street in this city.
